Kenneth Dale Parish, 79, of Searcy, died Saturday, August 11, 2012. He was born January 27, 1933, near Rose Bud, Arkansas, the son of the late Arlee and Annie (Mercer) Parish of Rose Bud. He was a United States Air Force and Korean War veteran. After retiring from the service, he drove school buses for Searcy and Fort Smith Public Schools. He was preceded in death by his wife Bettye Lou (Hartsell) Parish, who died October 19, 2011.
He is survived by his sister, Marie (Parish) Patterson of Searcy; his sons, Kenneth Michael Parish of Barling, Arkansas; Dr. Gregory H. Parish of Midland, Michigan; and Phillip Dale Parish of Conway, Arkansas; and a daughter, Veronica (Parish) Jenkins of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild
on the way.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, August 25, at Kensett First Baptist Church in Kensett, followed by a memorial service at 10 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Mount Bethel Cemetery on Highway 36. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kensett First Baptist Church.
