Betty Lavon Bryant, 68, of Bradford, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 in Searcy. She was born December 15, 1941 in Bald Knob a daughter of the late Ira Leonard and Nora Agnes Talley Blanton. Betty was a very kind, loving mother, a wonderful sister and a member of the Denmark Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Freddy Bryant, Jr. and wife Jamie of Rancho Santa Margarita, California; a brother, Edgar Allen Blanton and wife Lynn of El Dorado Hills, California; a sister, Leona Karman of Bradford; 2 nieces, Jennifer Ostrode and Tiffany Morgante; 2 nephews, Richard Ray Blanton and Randy Keith Blanton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Blanton and a sister, Wanda Jean Warner.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob. Services will be conducted Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Interment will follow in Sidon Cemetery.
