Robert Luke Wallace, 72, of Rt. 1, Junction City, died early Tuesday morning. Born in Lillie, La., Dec. 19, 1892, Mr. Wallace was the son of Tom and Eliza Slater Wallace. He was a member of the Blanchard Springs Baptist Church and a night watchman at the county shop. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Paul Welch, Junction City; one son, Jack Wallace, Junction City; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Dison, Spearsville, La.; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Pratt Funeral Home in Junction City with the Rev. C. T. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Caledonia Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be H. E. Pennington, C. W. Templeton, Harold Otwell, Fred Summers, Ernest Thurman and A. C. Bradford. Judge Carlton Jerry and employees of the Union County Highway Department will be honorary pallbearers. (The El Dorado Times - June 2, 1965)
