Ruth was born 2 May 1874 in AR. Her father was Dallas Lovett (KY)and her mother Elvira Rose (AR). Dallas parents were John and Lottie Cox Lovett. Elvira's father was Elisha Rose. Ruth was converted at age 14 and baptized in Crooked Creek. She was a member of Harrison Christian Church. Ruth married Lewis Franklyn Allen 16 Nov 1890. Ruth was written up in the paper as Boone Countian of the Week, where it states that she was the first Boone Co mother to lose a son in WW I. Pvt Alpha Roy Allen, age 23, died 3 Oct 1918 in the battle of Argonne. Ruth died in 1971.
