Mary's parents were Gerrit and Janet Scharp Markus
Both John and Mary Markus Rooker were born in The Netherlands. Their families immigrated to the U. S., settling in Wisconsin in the early 1900's. John and Mary moved to Ravenden, Lawrence Co., AR, in 1952.
