Helen L. Black, age 93, of Prim, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Southridge Village Nursing and Rehab in Heber Springs. Born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on July 2, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Carrie (Ponds) Little.
A resident of Cleburne County for ten years, Mrs. Black was a homemaker and mother, and she was a member of the Greers Ferry Assembly of God Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Black.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Carlton and her husband, Austin, of Prim; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren. Mrs. Black is also survived by other relatives and her friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hill Top Holiness Church at Prim. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hill Top Holiness Church with Pastor Mark Palenske and Dennis Knapp officiating. Interment will follow in the Everett Cemetery. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home. www.olmstead.cc
