HARRIS, Rachel CALHOUN - Died, after a very short illness, on Thursday morning March 9, 1893 at the home of her son-in-law, T.A. Watson, Mrs. Rachel Harris, aged 89 years, two months and 17 days. On Monday last the old lady had an apoplectic stroke which resulted in paralysis of the left side which caused her death. She has lived here many years, was a devout christian and bore the troubles of life with patience and fortitude. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church.

Constitution, Mar. 12, 1893} Died, in Bentonville, Ark., March 9, 1893 of paralysis, at the residence of her son-in-law, Dr. TA Watson, Mrs. Rachel Harris, in her ninetieth year. She was the oldest sister of Colonel Joseph C. Calhoun of Mobile, Ala.; of Dr. E.N. Calhoun and Colonel James N. Calhoun, deceased, late of Atlanta,and of Mrs. Mary E. Massey of this city. Mrs. Harris was strictly pious, having joined the Presbyterian church in early youth while a resident of Abbeville, S.C.
