OAKES, Rosa HOWARD - Mrs. Rosa Oakes, wife of Alex Oakes, living north of Bentonville in the Dug Hill neighborhood, passed away Wednesday, suffering a hemorrhage. Mrs. Oakes was born in Benton county, near the place of her death, fifty years ago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Howard, old residents of Sugar creek.

{from Hiwasse} Mrs. Alex Oaks died at her home Jan. 25 and was buried Wednesday in the Dug Hill cemetery; and Thursday Mrs. Likins passed away and the body was sent to Grove, Okla. for interment.
