Helen Fleming Boothe, 90, of Crossett died Tuesday, September 14, 2010, while visiting her son in California. She was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Joyce, LA, and had lived in Arkansas since her teen years. She loved to crochet.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Tommie Sue Fleming, Tom and Terry Fleming and Allen and Renita Fleming; her stepdaughter and son-in-law, Becky and Lynn Young; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Walser; and a brother, Herman Ashcroft, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Cora Ashcroft; her first husband, Harvey Fleming; her second husband, Paul Boothe; her daughter, Dorothy Fleming Pratt; her sisters, Patsy Gulledge and Marie Carman; and a brother, James Ashcroft.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 23, at the Unity Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. www.jonesservice.com,
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
