Edmond ”Shorty” Franklin Pitcher, 67, of Doniphan, MO died Friday, January 18, 2013 in St. Louis, MO. He was born November 1, 1945 in Delaplaine to Frankie Edgar and Tessie Lillian Swift Pitcher. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from Current River Die Sinking, Inc. after working there many years as a machinist. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tessie Pitcher; his step-mother, Seloy Pitcher; brothers, Edward Elston Pitcher and Ronald Nathan Pitcher. Survivors include his wife Chong Ok Pitcher of Rockford, IL; father, Frank Pitcher of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Edna Riddle of West Plains, MO, Muriel Gentry of Walnut Ridge, Eulah Pitcher of Hoxie. Pallbearers are Brad Anderson, Allen Beale, Donnie Beale, Jason Gentry, Cody Gentry, B J Gentry. Honorary pallbearers are Glenn Swift, Donnie Vance, Matthew Riddle.
