Mildred Marie Brantley, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 7, 2007. Mildred was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on June 30, 1922 to the late Glen and Goldie (Williams) Burton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brantley; a brother, J. G. Burton; a sister Maudie Binns; and a great grandson, Coleman Newkirk.

Her life was centered around family and friends. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and doll collecting. She was a florist by trade and had worked with France's Flower Shop in Little Rock.

She is survived by four children, Patsy Stone of Greenbrier, Geraldine Bise of Conway, Robert Cogdell and wife Pat of Conway, Tommy Cogdell and wife Margret of San Juan Capistrano, California; a brother, Kenneth Burton and wife Gloria of Pittsburg, California; a sister, Lucille Bates of Shelton, Washington. She loved and helped care for 14 grandchildren, Nicholas Cogdell, Neil Cogdell, Lindi McCray, Shane Cogdell, Keith Newkirk, Roger Newkirk, Tim Newkirk, Terry Stone, Donna Stone, Dianna Cardin, Bill Stone, Tracy Robinson and Scott Stone. She also enjoyed 28 great grandchildren as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

Mildred will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 13, 2007in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. Joseph Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Vilonia Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
