NUNN, Zoula FUNCHESS - In another column will be read the sad news of the death of Mrs. G.J. Nunn which occurred at her home in Jacksonville, Texas on November 1, 1895 after an illness of several weeks. This highly esteemed lady was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. B.P. Funchess of this city and wife of Prof. G.J. Nunn, President of Alexander Institute at Jacksonville, Texas of which institution Mrs. Nunn was also Matron. The remains, accompanied by the husband, father and sister, Mrs. J.C. Hennon, were brought here for interment, arriving Sunday morning. The funeral was held at the M. E. church, South where a very appropriate sermon was delivered by Reverend W.B. Johnsey, assisted by Reverend S.F. Goddard, after which the remains were followed to the cemetery by the large concourse of people in attendance. Our soul goes out in warm sympathy to Prof. Nunn in this, his great hour of sorrow, when death called from him a loving wife, from his children a devoted mother and from the world a true and sincere christian woman.
