Kitty was born in McCrory on March 25, 1928 to Barry Samuel and Mamie Margaret Bass Holder. She attended school in McCrory and was very active in many clubs and other activities. During her lifetime, Kitty was a very busy woman. A wife, Mother, grand and great-grandmother were things that were very important to her as was being a faithful member and board member of the McCrory Church of the Nazarene. In 1948 Kitty was the maid of the White River Water Carnival. She was a member of the McCrory Garden Club where she served as President, North East District Director as well as Secretary and Treasurer of the Arkansas Federation of Garden Club, Inc. Kitty participated in the Little Rock Flower Garden show and was inducted into the Circle of Roses. Her club presented her with a Life Membership. Kitty served as president of the American Cancer Society of Woodruff County and was Chairman of the Woodruff County Heart Fund. Although she was busy with all of these things, none were as important to her as her family. Her grand and great-grandchildren were her most precious earthly treasures and her love of the church, gardening, entertaining and great love of life made her the special person she was and will remain in our memories.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands: Vicki and Fred Wilson of McCrory, Margaret and Jerry Adams of Little Rock and one son: Greg Fetzer of Little Rock, one brother and his wife, H.B. and Gerri Holder of Tulelake, CA., one sister: Corrine Rushing Armstrong, of McCrory, three grandchildren; Tracie Danae Wilson of Conway, Jason Adams and wife Jennifer of Little Rock, Nathan Grant Adam of Gastonia, North Carolina, three great-grandchildren; Jackson Dye Adams, Jane Ansley Adams and Jaye Alexendria Adams.
