Gladys Jennie Andersen, 89, of Harrisonville, MO, died Tuesday (Nov 12) at Harrisonville. Formerly of Mt. Home, she moved to the Kansas City area in 1950. She was a retired homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church.
Visitation will be at Roller Funeral Home today from noon to 9PM, with family greeting friends from 6-8PM.
Services will be at 2PM Friday with the Rev. John J. McCormack officiating. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery.
Born Aril 7, 1896 at Kellogg, Iowa, she was the daughter of Lucy Ann Starr McBroom and Howard McBroom. She and Fred Andersen were married Dec 27, 1916 at Kellogg. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include four sons, Dale Andersen of Caplinger, MO, Harold Andersen of Independence, Gerald Andersen of Harrisonville and Stanley Andersen of Caplinger; three daughters, Mildred Chapman of Orondo, WA, Joyce Chapman of Shawnee Mission, KS and Louise Bolding of Shawnee Mission; three sister, Audra Boatwright of Des Moines, Iowa, Ceres Andersen of Helestane, WI and Telma Hill of Newton, Iowa; 21 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
