GILLISS, Mrs. H.W. - Mrs. H.W. Gilliss died last Wednesday noon at the home of her sister, Mrs. E.W. Homan, south of town. Funeral services were held at the residence Thursday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by Rev. Jordan. Mrs. Gilliss came here in June from Tekamah, Neb. and had been ill ever since with dropsy. She was 47 years old and leaves a husband, two daughters; the eldest, Miss Janet, who taught in the Academy here a year ago, and Margaret, aged twelve.
