Russell Jennings, 82, of Garfield, died Nov. 6, 1995, at his home.
He was born Feb. 1, 1913, at Glade to John Adam and Susan Jane Hagwood Jennings. He attended school at Rocky Branch in Larne and was an Army artillery crewman during World War II. He participated in the New Guinea and the Philippines campaigns, during which time be received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Service Medal, four Overseas Service Bars and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a farmer at Lame. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Maxine Jennings, on Jan. 18, 1995; one son, Lonnie Evans; one grandson, Brad Raymer; six brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three sons, Junior Raymer and Garry Raymer, both of Garfield, and Denver Jennings of Seligman; one daughter, Sandra Anderson of Pea Ridge; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Service was Thursday, Nov. 9, at Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Sisco Funeral Home directing.
