According to "History of Ashley County" by Y W Etheridge
(Revisions added in 1917):
"Aunt Kisiah Johnson, wife of Reverend Claiborne Johnson, born in Alabama and brought to this county as a slave by
L.Q.C. DeYampert, the grand father of W.B. DeYampert and great grand father of William DeYampert, a leading citizen of
Wilmot at this time, died, November 5th. She was brought to the county in 1859. She and her husband were respected citizens of the county and Baptists."
