Arneacie Mae "Pie" Hatchett, 64, of Hamburg died Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. A native of Crossett and a lifelong resident of Ashley County, Mrs. Hatchett was a retired cook for Hamburg Leisure Lodge and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Hatchett, Jr., and wife Lillie and Robert Hatchett of Arlington, TX; one daughter, Sharon Hatchett of Hamburg; two brothers, Luther Curenton, Jr., and wife Alice of Decatur, GA, and Carnell Curenton of Flint, MI, three sisters, Tinnie Clark and husband Jimmy of Hamburg, Rothonia Simon of Southfield, MI, and Helen McPherson of Wilmot; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a host of other family, friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Richard Lee Hatchett, on December 23, 2007; her parents, Luther and Wesola Parker Curenton; and two brothers, Elijah and Willie Ed Curenton.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, September 19, at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Willie R. Taylor officiating. Pallbearers were Timmy Downs, Lloyd Collins, Anthony Wilson, Larry Works, Marvin Walters, and Curtis Martin. Burial was in the Johnson Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. Guest book at www.cromwellfuneral home.net.
