Mary Jane Cox, 82, died in Woodland on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. She had lived in Woodland for the past 20 years. Mrs. Cox was born on Oct. 24, 1928, in Mt. Pleasant, Ark. She attended the State Teachers College of Arkansas and was a retired teacher as well as a homemaker. She was also a member of the Rose City Cumberland Presbyterian Church in North Little Rock, Ark.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her sons, Joe Neal Cox, and Kenneth Craig-Cox and wife Jeanette; and granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carroll Cox.
Services: A funeral service will be held at a later date in Stuttgart, Ark. Interment will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery of Stuttgart, Ark. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. McNary's Funeral Service of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
