Hattie Mae Brown, 84, of Hamburg died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at Ashley County Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Hamburg and a member of Soldiers Chapel A. M. E. Church.

Survivors include four sons, Willie Charles Brown of Magnolia, Larry Terry Brown and Dan W. Brown, both of Hamburg, and Ronney Brown of Little Rock; four daughters, Ruby Jewel Brown and Kattie Brown Bell, both of Little, Sandra Faye Bedford and husband Theodies of North Little Rock and Shellia Ann Lawson and husband Charles of Crossett; 34 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Brown; one daughter, Versie Mae Colbert; and her parents, Allen Bunton and Cora Stanfield.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 9, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. W. R. Taylor officiating. Burial was at Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. Pallbearers were Curtis Toliver, Larry Tippie, Bobby Barnett, Rance Haynes, Curt Harris and Michael Scott.
