A Celebration of Life for Barton Tate Conley of Norfork, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the Norfork United Methodist Church, with Dr. Terry Moser officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Friday, November 23, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm.
Barton passed away November 21, 2012, in Norfork, Arkansas at the age of 83. He was born November 1, 1929, in Norfork, the son of Rudolf and Molly Barton Conley. He married Betty Dry on June 27, 1953, at Cotter, Arkansas and worked as an electrician for Ford Motor Company. Barton served in the U.S. Navy. Barton lived in Norfork, since 2005 moving from Independence, Missouri. He was a member of the the Norfork United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed trout fishing.
Barton is survived by his wife, Betty Conley of Norfork, AR, one son, Mark (Lucia) Conley of League City, TX, three daughters, Deborah (Bill) Ferneyhough of Colorado Springs, CO, Janis (Tom) Note of Highland Lakes, NJ and Catherine (Andy) Kramer of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and several friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rudolf Conley and sister, Glenda Bussard.
Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas or CMC Hospice.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
