Mrs. Carolyn Venable, 68, of El Paso, mother of Sandy Wise of Conway, died Thursday (Feb. 15, 2001).
Born Feb. 22, 1933, in Fountain Hill (Ashley County), a daughter of Ashley and Bernice White Wigley, she was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church, El Paso.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Venable; one son Bruce Venable of Alexander, La.; another daughter, Pam Roberson of Jacksonville; two brothers, Audrey Wigley of Oregon and Royce Wigley of Little Rock; four sisters, Mary Norris of Dumas (Desha County), Margie Pascall of Pine Bluff, Dorothy Nell Malcolm of Fouke, Texas, and Cheryl Armbruster of Atlanta, Ga.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday at First Baptist Church, El Paso, with burial in Grissard Cemetery
