ELKINS — Mazie Stonesifer, 79, of Elkins, Ark., passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, in Fayetteville. She was born Sept 10, 1932, in Winslow, Ark., to John R. Foster and Martha Alice (Adams) Foster.
She was a homemaker, as well as worked as a cook for both the Zeta and Tri Delta sororities. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce H. Stonesifer; five brothers; and six sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Bruce Stonesifer and wife, Angie, of West Fork, Ark., and John Steven Stonesifer and wife, Renita, of West Fork, Ark.; two daughters, Marsha Elaine Reed and husband, Rick, of Winslow, Ark., and Lesha Alice Couch and husband, Kimmy, of Elkins, Ark.; one sister, Nell Fraley of Fayetteville, Ark.; ll grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, with Mr. David Peebles officiating. Burial will follow at Black Oak Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview, Fayetteville AR 72703.
