Aged Resident of Boswell Dies Friday Morning
Mrs Mary Layton aged 78 a life-long resident of Izard County, died at the home of a daughter at Boswell, Friday morning, after an illness of several weeks. She spent practically all of her life in the vicinity of Boswell and Mt Olive. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The funeral was held at Mt. Olive Saturday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev Hugh Cooper of Melbourne. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Joe Combs of Boswell and Mrs E. Thompson of Moorefield; three brothers, Levi Wooten of Tuckerman, Robert Wooten of Oklahoma and Grover Wooten Texas; two sisters, Mrs Joe Bryant of Guion and a sister of Hot Springs.
