Benjamin I. Goforth, 16

Benjamin I. Goforth, age 16, of Arkana and Midway, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at his dad's residence in Arkana.

He was born December 15, 1996, at Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Bennie Goforth and Janie Griner Williams. Benjamin was a student and enjoyed writing songs and playing the guitar, target shooting, hiking, camping and fishing.

He is survived by his father: Bennie Goforth: Arkana, Arkansas; mother: Janie Williams: Midway, Arkansas; brother: Zachary Williams: Yantis, Texas; sister: Erica (Jason) Harris: Gassville, Arkansas; five nephews; his maternal grandmother: Dimple Griner: Sulphur Springs, Texas; one niece and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Warren and Virginia Goforth and a close friend: Fred Flanagan.

A Graveside Service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Arkana Cemetery with Bishop Tom Fox officiating. A Celebration of Benjamin's Life and Reception of Friends will follow in the Old Arkana Schoolhouse. Memorials may be made to the Benjamin I. Goforth Memorial Fund at First Security Bank.
