Twin Lakes Area mourns loss of Arrie Goforth
The Twin Lakes Area is mourning the loss of a longtime educator. Longtime Norfork School District educator Arrie Goforth died Tuesday at her residence in Mountain Home.
Goforth had a career as an elementary school teacher spanning 38 years at Norfork. Superintendent Mike Seay says she is someone who will be missed in the district.
Her long service and dedication to education would eventually lead Norfork's elementary school being named the Arrie Goforth Elementary School. Seay says that happened long before he joined the Norfork School District, but it's easy to see why the decision was made.

[Note: Obituary gives birth date as January 28, 1917; however, the inscription on the gravestone has January 25, 1917.]
