BELLA VISTA — Caroline Victoria Bernhard, 92, of Bella Vista, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at Concordia Health and Rehab., Bella Vista, Ark. She was born on May 9, 1919, in Peekskill, N.Y., to Charles Kurzhals and Victoria Hockaday Kurzhals.
She was raised and educated in New York. She was a Lab Technician for Fleischman Yeast Company. Caroline married Russell W. Bernhard on April 20, 1947, at Peekskill, N.Y. Upon retirement, they moved to Bella Vista in 1982. She was a member of the Ceramics Club and Ladies 9-Hole Golf for many years, and also a member of the Bella Vista Community Church Bowling League.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marion Piscetta.
She is survived by her husband, Russell W. Bernhard of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sons, Charles W. Bernhard (Patricia) of Cinnaminson, N.J., Edward B. Bernhard (Christine) of Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Theodore's Episcopal Church, 1001 Kingsland Road, Bella Vista, Ark., with Father Ken Parks officiating. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR.
