Harriet Jane "Janie" Russell,87,of Star City died Saturday at Gardner Nursing Home at Star City. She was born Sept 15, 1919, in Oliet, Iowa, a daughter of the late Russel E. and Sophronia Belle Woods Bowers. She was a homemaker and a Sunday School Teacher for many years. There were no immediate survivors.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Russell,whom she married May 4 1955.Graveside services will be at 10 a.m.Tuesday in Butler/Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Star City by Griffin Funeral Service of Star City.Visitation will be from 6 to 8p.m. today at the funeral home.
