Clara Faye Emerson, 65, of McCrory, AR., died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the White County Medical Center in Searcy.
She was born April 11, 1947, in Wynne, AR., a daughter of the late Clyde and Lou Ella Barrett DeLoach.
Faye was a homemaker and a member of the Ephesus Church of God. She was a very caring and thoughtful woman who always had an open door to anyone in need and was considered "mother" to many people other than her own children. There was so much she enjoyed in life but fishing, flower gardening, visiting with family and friends and playing "Blow It" and "Phase 10" were among her most favorite things. She will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Emerson, Sr.; children, Linda Anderson (Jeff), Brenda Scott (Bobby), Jerri Ann Miller (Lonnie), Vicki DeWitt (Greg) and Jerry Emerson, Jr. (Holly); 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grand-children.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Jerry Dale DeLoach, R.T. DeLoach, Jimmy Ray DeLoach, James Thomas DeLoach, Henry DeLoach, Elsie Clements, Leila (Pat) Vinson and Maureen (Mernie) Aderhold and a great-granddaughter, Lillie Pauline Stone.
Services were at the Ephesus Church of God in McCrory. Interment was in the Fakes Cemetery at McCrory by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
