LINCOLN — Slown Buford Parker, 89, of Lincoln died July 30, 2007, at his home. He was born July 26, 1918, near Morrow to Buford and Vera Jones Parker. He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln. He retired from the Arkansas National Guard after 22 years of service and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Jean Hollingsworth Parker of the home; two sons, Kevin L. Parker of South Africa and Kerry L. Parker of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Heather Parker-Foster, Jarrod Parker and Ofrah Parker; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Parker, Kaitlyn Parker and Brandon Parker.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln with Dan Wooley and Joe Tropansky officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 968, Lincoln, 72744 or Washington Regional Hospice, 34 W. Colt Square, Fayetteville, 72703.

Pallbearers will be Bill Morris, Earl Crudup, Brad Crudup, Barry Crudup, Jarrod Parker and Matt Foster.
