FORT SMITH — Neva Rae "Rusty" Hobbs, 77, of Fort Smith, died Thursday in a Fort Smith hospital.
She was born Nov. 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Johnny Smith and Mae Smith.
She was a retired nurse from Stone County Medical Center.
She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hobbs; one son, Johnny Carroll; and one brother, J.C. Smith.
Survivors include three daughters, Lynne Eads of Marina, Calif.; Linda Craig and Lisa Gilley, both of Fort Smith; one son, C.J. Hobbs of Alma; two sisters, Venita Chitwood of Hobart, Ind., and Wanda Avey of Mountain View; one brother, Carl Smith of Mountain View; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
