Mrs. Emily Burnett, age 81, died December 5 at the City hospital, Siloam Springs, after several days illness. Funeral services were conducted the following day, 2:30 p.m., at the First Baptist church in Siloam Springs, of which she was a member, by Rev. B. E. Simmons and interment was in the Oak Hill cemetery, with the Wasson Funeral Home directing the arrangements. The deceased was borned near St. Paul, Ark., and moved to Siloam Springs with her parents when she was 17 years of age. She was married to J. K. P. Burnett October 10, 1909, and they resided on a farm near Pettigrew, Ark., until his death Jan. 11, 1926, since when she had made her home with a sister, Mrs. Josie Smith, at Siloam Springs. Her survivors include, besides Mrs. Smith, two other sisters, Mrs. Joe Russell of Westville, Okla., and Mrs. Sarah Barker of Jay, Okla.; four step-daughters, Mrs. Abbie Anderson of Pettigrew, Mrs. Roy Ogden of Stilwell, Mrs. Eddy of Beecher City, Ill., and Mrs. Florence Barker of Huntsville and three step-sons, James Burnett of Pettigrew, Harrison Burnett of Stilwell, Okla., and Jerry Burnett of Galena Park, Texas.
