BOYLE, Victoria SUTTLE - Funeral services for Mrs. Victoria Suttle Boyle, aged 71, wife of A.G. Boyle, whose death occurred at two o'clock Sunday morning, November 13th, 1932 at their home west of Centerton, Ark. following several months of critical illness, were held Monday afternoon at the family home conducted by Dr. G. Lyle Smith of Waurika, Okla., a former pastor of the Bentonville Christian Church and an old neighbor of the Boyle family at Weatherford, Texas 30 years ago. Interment was in the Bentonville cemetery. Mrs. Boyle, whose maiden name was Miss Victoria Suttle, was born near Springfield, Kentucky on Christmas Day 1861. She was married to Albert G. Boyle at Louisville, Ky. on June 23rd, 1893 and in the same year they moved to Weatherford, Texas where Mr. Boyle practiced law and where they lived until they and their two small sons moved to Arkansas and Benton County in 1902. Immediately after coming here from Texas Mr. Boyle purchased the farm and orchard now known as Springhill Orchards, a mile and a half west of Bentonville on Highway 72, now owned by H.L. Baker. In 1911 Mr. and Mrs. Boyle built a new home on that place as they had planned it for themselves and family. In 1919 they sold the place to Mr. Baker and in the same year bought the J.C. Faris farm and orchard west of Centerton where they have since lived with the exception of about a year here in Bentonville and where Mrs. Boyle passed away. Living so near to Bentonville for so many years during which time Mr. Boyle also was interested in a hardware business here, Mr. and Mrs. Boyle and their two sons have always been considered a part of this town and have many friends and a wide acquaintance here. Besides her husband Mrs. Boyle is survived by their only children, Jean Boyle of Indianapolis, Indiana and Albert Boyle, Jr. of near Gravette, this county. She also is survived by one granddaughter, Alberta June Boyle, the two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Boyle, Jr. and by two brothers and two sisters: Frank and Jeff Suttle, Mrs. J.W. Tucker and Mrs. Sallie Goatley, all of whom live in Kentucky. Mrs. Boyle's mother died in Kentucky about a year ago at the age of 104 years. The end came more quickly than was expected and Mr. and Mrs. Jean Boyle did not arrive here from Indianapolis until several hours after their mother's death. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Boyle, Jr. were at her bedside much of the time during the past few weeks.
