James Knox Polk Hines, 85, Evansville, Ark., died in a Stilwell, Okla., hospital June 24. Born March 3, 1889, in Forreston, Tex., he was the son of James Luther and Isabel Cone Hines, and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Annabell Winsted, Evansville, Mrs. Laverne Bush, Lincoln, and Mrs. Mary Hawkins, Stilwell; one brother, E. D. Hines, Denver, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Stella James, Tucson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Evansville Church. Burial will be in Vineyard Cemetery near Evansville, with Rev. Tim Gyles officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home, Prairie Grove.
