March 9, 1884 - August 20, 1961
Mrs. Annie Smith Sudsberry, aged 77, of Camden, died at the home of a sister, Mrs. Irvin Lyons, on the Old Magnolia Road at 3:55 a.m. Sunday. Mrs. Sudsberry was the widow of John Wilson Sudsberry who died in 1921. She was a lifelong resident of Ouachita County, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, Earl R. Sudsberry of Imperial Beach, California, and Glen J. Sudsberry of New Orleans, La.; one daughter, Mrs. Marchie Felch of El Dorado; two brothers, Charlie Smith of Gurdon, and Dudley Smith of El Dorado; four sisters, Mrs. Fanny McKelvy, Mrs. Nettie Lewis, Mrs. Alice Cash, and Mrs. Pearl Lyons, all of Camden; six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday (today) at the Proctor Funeral Chapel conducted by Gene Frost. Burial will be in the Bluff City Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Claude Berley, Ed Falwell, Charlie Harvey, Horace Hawley, C. E. Milam, and Bill Moore. (Camden News - August 21, 1961)
