Pierce Bailey Grambling, age six years, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Grambling, at Avoca at 6:00 o’clock yesterday morning following an illness of little more than a week. Funeral services were held at Avoca at 2:00 o’clock this afternoon and burial was at Buttram’s Chapel, Pea Ridge. Arrangements were in charge of A.D. Callison.

On July 26, 1922 little Baily Gramling was born to Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Gramling of Avoca. At an early hour Sunday morning, September 16, 1928 God called this dear child to his home above. All that loving hands could do could not stay the hand of death and perhaps never before in the history of our little town has the passing of any child been attended with more sincere and universal grief because of the marked devotion which existed between this young child and his “Mormer” as he always called her. Where one was the other was always there. He was the light and life of the home but now we commit this life unto the loving Father who gave it to us. Mrs. R.J. Allen.
