ROCKY COMFORT. Mo. - Darrell W. Bone, 54, of Rocky Comfort, MO. left this world on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He was born to Eddie and Vera Bone in Inglewood, Calif., in 1957.
He moved to Pea Ridge, Ark., in 1960 with his grandparents, Duly and Beatrice Bone. He graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1975. His first job consisted of 45 minutes with Tyson Chicken Quick!
Following that career, he went to work for Battlefield Cabinets in Pea Ridge. He and his brother Rick opened their own automotive business. He then became Crew Chief for Roger Hines Racing Team.
In 1986 he started with Buddy Sparks as Shop Foreman. In 1990 Kent Rylee purchased Buddy Sparks Chevrolet and Darrell became Fixed Operation Manager for Kent Rylee Chevrolet. There he won "Mark of Excellence" 10 times, he was on the Advisory Board for General Motors, he received the "Service Excellence Award" and was always in the top 10 percent for Service Satisfaction in the South Central Region for G.M.
In April 2006. he left Kent Rylee Chevrolet to help develop The Pig Trail Harley Davidson Team. From that vacation, in October 2006, he came back to Kent Rylee Chevrolet
In June 2009, be and Kent Rylee purchased the Napa Parts Store which became Kent Rylee Auto Solutions in Rogers, Ark. In October 2010, he, Kent and Sean Wells purchased the Bentonville Napa Store.
Darrell enjoyed many hobbies, including farming, racing, motorcycle riding, classic cars, real estate development and people!
Darrell is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwald and Lorena Niche Sammann, and Duly and Beatrice Bone; and his parents, Vera and Eddie Bone.
Survivors are his longtime companion, Veldia Rideout of the home; one son, Brently Bone, daughters Haley Bone, Kelley Austin and husband Jake of Pea Ridge, Shelby Courtney of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Kamille Robinson of Fayetteville, and Noah Austin of Pea Ridge; one brother, Rick Bone of Pea Ridge, sister Debbra Evans and husband Roger of Seligman, Mo.; one uncle, Johnny Bone & wife Joyce of Pea Ridge; cousins Tony Bone, Johnny Bone Jr. and wife Kendy of Pea Ridge; nieces Tony and Jayme Evans; nephew Chad Collins; extended family, friends, and his dog, Murphy!
Funeral is set for Tuesday, Aug. 2, 10 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, with Pastors Ralph Walker and Carnes Vaughan officiating. Burial will be at Buttram Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 1, 5 to 8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Pea Ridge Alumni Assoc., P.O. Box 1111, Pea Ridge, Ark. 72751; or Pea Ridge Scholarship Assoc., 2063 Park Circle, Pea Ridge, Ark. 77751.
