Lillis M. Skelton, 71, of Alvord, Texas, formerly of Wesley, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur, Texas. She was born Feb. 26, 1934, the daughter of Mary Leola Lemming and Willie Carl Judkins.
Lillis was employed by Baldwin Piano in Fayetteville for 20 years. She was also employed Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale for more than five years, working in the overnight food service.
Lollis was married July 26, 1952, to Farrel Skelton, who preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Lillis is survived by one son, Gene Skelton and his wife Toni of Alvord; one brother, Billy Cook of Arkansas; one sister, Phyllis Powell and her husband Don of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Farrel Skelton and his wife Cindy of Fort Worth, Texas, Michael Skelton and his wife Tara of Wesley and Brian Walston of Allen, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Montana Skelton and GraceAnn Skelton, both of Wesley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 27 at Harris Baptist Church in Elkins.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept 28 at Harris Baptist Church with Jasper Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in McCord Cemetery in Elkins.
Pallbearers will be Michael Skelkon, Farrel Skelton, Zach Partain, Allen Skelton, Josh Hankins and Ronnie Hankins.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.
