Loveta Goodloe Booker Hudson, 89, of Searcy went to be with the Lord January 28, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 23, 1921 in Rose Bud to the late David Short Goodloe and Edna Dupriest.

Mrs. Hudson was a member of the West Race Baptist Church. She spent many years as president of International Shoe Company’s Local Union, Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers. She also worked for Ford, Bacon, and David Ammunitions Plant.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by two husbands, James C. Booker Sr. and Marvin Hudson; one son, James Booker Jr.; one brother, Kirby Goodloe; and five sisters, Nina, Geneva, Judy, Velda, and Inez.

Left to cherish Mrs. Hudson in memory is a daughter, Sharron Booker Moorman and husband Bruce of Memphis, Tennessee; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Booker of Searcy; one sister, Norweita Conder and husband Bailey of Kansas; five grandchildren, Bruce, Laura, James, Shane, and Indy; and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Mark, Dakota, and Arias.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, January 31, from 6-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
