Obituary- Agnes Stone Adair, 95, of Searcy died Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Born October 9, 1917, in Hamburg to Jackson Van Buren Stone and Anna Riley Stone, she was a resident of Searcy for the past 14 years and was a resident of Snyder for many years. She was a homemaker and taught children's Sunday School at Fellowship Baptist Church in Snyder for over 40 years where she and her husband, Thomas, were faithful members. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy where she was a member of the Mary Sunday School class.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue Bailey and husband Ed; a grandson, Bill Bailey and wife Stacy; two great-grandchildren, Emme Adair Bailey and William Jay Bailey, all of Searcy; five special relatives, Frankie Sumner, Linda Shiver, Buddy Barnes, Nancy Howard and Judy Moyers; and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin Adair; her parents, eight sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 2, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Revs. Jimmy Wallace and Tim Noel officiating. Burial was in the Snyder Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Shiver, Derrick Douthit, Brian Stone, Charles Glen Stone, John Howard, George Moyers, Jesse Hathcote and Jeff Carpenter.
