SPRINGDALE - Dorotha Evalee Day, 77, of Springdale, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Kingston, to Elmer and Josephine Kesner Thomas. Mrs. Day married Tommie LuVerl Day on July 24, 1954, in Springdale. She was a longtime member of Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pattie Day; two brothers, Lewis Thomas and Jay "Buck" Thomas; and by an infant grandson.

She is survived by her husband, Tommie Day of the home; three children, Raymond Day and wife, Gala, of Springdale, LaWanda Ash and husband, Steve, of Pea Ridge, and Timothy Day and wife, Traci, of Springdale; seven sisters. Virginia Lee, Lois Williams, Velma Cantrell and Dottie Seals, all of Springdale, Imogene Hull of Hindsvile, Janet Reed of Berryville and Ann Binam of Lowell; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastors Ben Gibson, Eldon Bagwell and Brad Spurlock officiating.

Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
