SILOAM SPRINGS - Merrill Jean Hubbard, 72, of Siloam Springs died Oct. 19, 2002, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1929, in Neosho, Mo., to H. Dee and Anna Ruth Garoutte Hubbard. He owned and operated a trucking business. He was a Navy veteran and an avid Razorback fan.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Davis Hubbard, to whom he was married Dec. 23, 1948; two sons, Mike Hubbard and wife Chris and Bob Hubbard and wife Joan, all of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Nita Ann Chambers and husband Tim of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; one sister, Rosemary Gardner of Rogers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eastgate Church of Christ in Siloam Springs with Charles Cash and Dr. John Terry officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Memorials may be made to the Scholarship Fund, Siloam Springs High School, 1500 W. Jefferson, Siloam Springs, 72761.

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Hubbard, 81 year old lifetime resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died May 30, 2011, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. Born January 10, 1930, in Siloam Springs, she was the daughter of Clyde Davis and Cecil McCutchen Davis. She was a 1947 graduate of Siloam Springs High School. Betty was a homemaker and worked at Hunts/Stage until her retirement. Betty married Merrill Hubbard on December 23, 1948 in Siloam Springs. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs, and was involved with various aspects of women's ministry.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, John.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Hubbard and wife Christine, and Bob Hubbard and wife Joan, all of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; one daughter, Nita Ann Chambers and husband Tim of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2011, at First United Methodist Church, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Dr. Randy Rowlan officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 273, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, or the Junenile Diabetes Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004
