Olga Reeves Cavanagh of Horseshoe Bend, formerly of Mount Pleasant, daughter of the late William Hardy Reeves and Mary Ella Taylor, was born February 10, 1902 in Sage. She died February 14, 1996, at the North Arkansas Life Care Center in Horseshoe Bend. She was 94.
Mrs Cavanagh was a restaurant owner at the airport in Topeka, Kansas. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Nadine Hunter of Marcellus, Michigan; Helen Franco of Freemont, California; and Peggy Stallard of Meriden, Kansas; two step-daughters, Helen Foley of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Norma Marshall of Newark, California; one sister, Vestal Battles of Kingsburg, California; nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Cavanagh; one son, Borden Taylor; two granddaughters, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Services were held February 16, 1996 at Crouch Chapel in Melbourne with Reverend Joe Jackson officiating.
Pallbearers were Bill Stallard, Allan Presley, Ronald Welburn, Randy Davidson, Fayde Everett, and Hank Walters.
Interment was at Reeves Cemetery near Sage under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Memorials may be made to the volunteer auxiliary workers at North Arkansas Life Care Center in care of Alice Faigle, President, 208 West Eyota, Horseshoe Bend, AR 72519.
