PEA RIDGE - Mary Hunt, 85, of Pea Ridge died April 1, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born May 22, 1919, in Independence, Mo., to Robert and Ruth Sarah Waters Ressler. She moved to Pea Ridge in 1978 from Bentonville. She was owner of Windsong Studio and was an award winning artist creating portraits and still life in oils and pastels. She studied under Albert Handell, Ben Konis and Charles Peer. She was a founding member and vice president of Ozark Pastel Society and the Rogers Art Guild and was a member of Artists of North Arkansas and Village Art Club. Her paintings have been on display at the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa, Okla., Walton Arts Center, the University of Arkansas, Big Springs Gallery and Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., John Brown University and Sager Creek Art Center in Siloam Springs, Wishing Springs Gallery in Bella Vista and Grove Oklahoma Gallery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bonner Guy Hunt, on May 29, 1958.

She is survived by one nephew, Doug Ressler of Tulsa.

Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral home in Pea Ridge. The service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Gibson officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
