SILOAM SPRINGS-- Martha Alice "Bitsy" Stockton, 88, of Siloam Springs died Aug. 23, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. She was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Pine Bluff to James Neville and Martha Ellen Treadway Holcombe.
She taught high school American history in Gould and Dumas and a former recipient of the Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce's Pioneer Citizen Award.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Stockton and wife Gail and Stan Stockton and wife Rita of Harrison; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs.
