Graveside services for Jimmy Emberton was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, Arkansas with the Rev. Mark Thornbrough and the Rev. Chester Eversoll officiating. Burial is under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Jimmy Darrell Emberton, the son of Manuel Emberton and Vina (Hoosier) Emberton, was born September 14, 1945, in Natural Dam and passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005, in Adair county, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years and seven days.
Jimmy, a lifelong resident of Natural Dam, Arkansas was married to Velma Price on October 18, 1974. He drove a bus for Cedarville Schools for several years. He also worked in construction and served as a volunteer firefighter for the Natural Dam Fire Department. His joys in life were his grandchildren restoring cars and playing horseshoes.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Velma of the home; his children, Mary and Jason Baker, Sarah Seal, Ruth and Paul Breeze, John and Marca Garner, all of Natural Dam, Kathy and Charles Atkins of Fort Smith, Tina and Bobby Good of Cedarville; one sister, Pauline Riddle and husband, Thell of Redding, Calif.; and two brothers, Richard Emberton of Natural Dam and Kenneth Emberton and wife, Helen of Chester; 16 grandkids; and two great-grandkids.
His parents, one son, Brandon, and one sister, Delois Emberton, preceded Jimmy in death.
