Mrs Ida May Scott 73 of Ola wife of Walter A. Scott was a Baptist. Other survivors are seven son Lelous of Little Rock, Elmer and Thurman and Donald all of Plainview. Arlen of Briggsville and Shelby and Loyd both of Ola Six daughters Mrs Cathlene Patterson of Ohio, Mrs Willa Jean Kemp of Danville, Mrs Rosa Lee Hooker of Stamps, Mrs Gladys Gibson and Mrs Lois Velasquez both of California and Mrs Hazel Weems of Ola. Three brothers, eight sisters and 35 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2pm today at Wilburn General Baptist Church. Burial will be in Center Point Cementery by Olmstead Funeral Home, Heber Springs

Walter A. Scott of Ola,87 died Tuesday Feburday 6, 1996 at the St. Edward's Hospital in Fort Smith. Born on April 20 1908 in Miller Arkansas. He was the son of the late John and Rosie (Dunn) Scott. A resident of Arkansas all his life and a Baptist. He was a retired timber worker and saw miller. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida May (Philamlee) Scott who died on July 8 1983.Survivors include six sons Elmer of Ola,Thurman and Donald of Plainview, Arlen of Wing, Shelby and Lloyd of Rover, six daughters Kathleen Patterson of Archbold, Ohio, Willa Jean Kemp of Danville, Rosa Lee Hooker of Plainview, Gladys Gibson of West Covina, California, Lois Velasquez of California and Hazel Massengill of Dover, three brothers Sherman and Wilburn Scott of Little Rock and Johnny Scott of Springfield Ohio one sister Athie Scott of Sparta Illinois and 38 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday February9 1996 at Olmstead Chapel with the Rev. Ervin Clayton Officiating interment was at Center Chapel Cemetery Wilburn. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
