Rosa Lee (Scott) Hooker, age 67, of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, passed away Monday,October 3, 2005, at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. Born at Wilburn, Arkansas, on August 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Walter Augusta and Ida Mae (Philmalee) Scott. A former resident of Plainview, Mrs. Hooker had lived at Mt. Ida for the past five years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Her religious belief was Baptist. Mrs. Hooker was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Donna Smith. Survivors include her husband, Donald Hooker, Sr. of Mt. Ida; two sons, Bennie Smith of Story and Donald Hooker of Bodcaw; two daughters, Carolyn Williams of Quitman and Jennie Henson of Jefferson City, Tennessee; her brothers and sisters, Gladys Gibson and Lois Valasqez, both of California, Arlen Scott of Briggsville, Shelby Scott of Rover, Donald Scott, Loyd Scott, and Hazel Scott, all of Planeville, and six grandchildren, Michael Williams and Jerry Williams, both of Quitman, Hayden Hooker and Morgan Hooker, both of Bodcaw, Matthew Henson of Jefferson City, Tennessee, and Kyle Smith of Story. Mrs. Hooker is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 3:00 p.m. at Center Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Samuel Wildmon officiating.
