January 31, 1929
Injuries received in a runaway accident at his home west of Gentry January, proved fatal to W.H. McCratic, who passed away at his home late Sunday night. Following the accident he seemed to recover from the effects thereof but an attack of pneumonia set in which he was unable to withstand owing to his weakened condition. Funeral service were held on Tuesday under the direcion of Carpenter Bros. of Gentry. The deceased was an orphan and his age unknown. He came to Gentry from Harrison, Ark. and was a resident of this place some twenty years prior to moving to the place west of Gentry. He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Margaret Lee of Kansas City; Mrs. Lula Jones and Mrs. Charles Buce of Siloam Springs, and one son, L.C. McCratic.
