GERHARD, Charles - Charles Gerhard, one of the oldest residents in southwestern Benton County, died at his home on the Illinois river seven miles southeast of Siloam Springs early Sunday morning at the age of 77 years. He had been in failing health for two or three years. He was a prominent farmer and strawberry grower. He is survived by his widow and six grown sons.
